Today was one of those gorgeous days that makes me so happy to just exist. To walk in the sunshine, feel the soft cool breeze and just look around. The little one and I and two other moms with their kiddos went into the city today to see the museum of Natural History. It was great, a complete madhouse with stuffed metro cars,lost tourists, rude teenagers, screaming kids and lunch prices that make your eyes bulge but an absolute wonderful time. I love the museums and the mall with all the open green space. It was so cool to let the pumpkin walk around with Congress in the distance. I never would have dreamed I'd end up here but I love it. I stressed so much when the hubby got the job offer to move here from Texas but it turned out to be the best decision we have ever made. (thanks sweetie;)

Oh yeah, I also received honorable mention in the SCBWI Illustrator Contest for Silent Valentine, could that also factor into my good mood? :)
