Monday, August 22SCBWI Contest This is the painting I created for SCBWI's new illustrator contest, Old School New Year . Not sure if it fits it exactly or how i really feel about it. It often takes me a few days of being away from a painting to see if I truly like it or not. ;) |

I love your colors/palette! What media do you work in? The texture is also wonderful looking..makes me want to touch it. Is it done on a slick surface?

thanks for the comments :) i'm still not too sure how i feel about this one.
amy - it's watercolor and ink. i use 140 lb cold press. i actually prefer a paper with more texture (300 lb or so).
Cole really likes the alien frog. :-D
Good luck Court! I'm glad you're still being active with the contests. I'm trying to play "catch up" right now. I have to tell ya, this is what I saw all over the place on my way to work a couple of weeks ago. :)
