We're leaving on Saturday for the Outer Banks. I love the Outer Banks, so much so that this is the 4th year I'm dragging the dear hubby down there. The Pud tagged along last year and it was fun and relaxing and as a kid who didn't see the ocean till I was 18, I am addicted to the look and sound of waves crashing on the sand. This will probably be our last year to go to this particular area. I am the only one in the family who likes going to the same place year after year. But, I have been promised we will go to a beach of some sort next year. So hurrah for vacation. I have decided that Texas, while having the family and it's quaint charms, didn't count as a vacation for two reasons. One is the fact we were in one of the most podunk of towns that I worked so hard to escape. Two is that it was a Wedding.....in July...in Texas.

I'm also trying to really jump start this biz, I now have 42 addresses for the latest set of postcards. I have added in a few magazines. Any suggestions on places I can advertise my wares to that pay on a more immediate basis, say for spot illustrations, advertisements or somewhere that could possibly supply a more steady income? I've heard educational markets are great.

I now prepare myself for sun and sand. I will try to do a few beach-themed illustrations, last time there I drew nothing. The beach house advertises internet access so I'll try that as well, though I'm thinking a modem is all they provide.
