A crazy few weeks...

Things have been pretty fast paced here at the Pippin-Mathur household. A few highlights:

1. Driving back and forth to DC to see my niece and try and help her parents. I don't know how much help we have been, but it reminded me of two things; 1. the first few weeks with a newborn are so difficult and amazing and 2. I'm glad my husband talked me into waiting at least another year or two or three before we try for number 2.

2. Speaking of the hubby, he will have to have surgery for his back. It's a fairly simple procedure but the recovery time varies greatly person to person and it will definitely put him out of commission for a couple to few weeks. Ouch. We're pushing it back to January so we can get through the holiday/travel season and have family here to help.

3. I have been to two different doctors for the neck lump thing. The first doctor jabbed me in the neck and said since it hurt it wasn't cancer. So, I went for a second opinion. He confirmed it's not cancer but was able to give me more answers and a plan of attack if it doesn't go away on its own. (which it seems to be, thank goodness)

4. I now have two possible commissions and a photo shoot scheduled. Besides taking 4 years of photography in college, I've taken over 7,000 pics of the pud and will sometimes take a few for other people.

and on a few funny notes:

5. I saw someone a guy brushing his teeth while driving, complete with spitting the mouthwash out of his window. yuck.

5. The pud saw her first butterfly up close and personal, when it moved she yelped and leapt into my arms. I explained that it wasn't a leaf and one day she would love these colorful beauties. She seemed okay. :)
