Random Stuff
The business Side:
The hubby designed and ordered my first set of business cards, they have the frog kiss image on the front and my info on the back. They look fabulous and I can't wait to give one to someone. ;)
I'm going to add the halloween pick to my portfolio and am extending the caption contest until October 22nd so participate, pretty please and many thanks to those who have already submitted something.
The Family Side:
The hubby and I are both feeling down and out. Nothing contagious, just physical strageness. For him, it is back problems requiring some sort of procedure (we hope for a mild treatment) and for myself it is a lump on my neck. It hurts like heck and hurts even more when I get tense or stressed out, which is too often for my own health. I feel sorry for the Pud who is currently running circles around her creaking parents.
The Texas Side:
Yes, I am freaking out a tad. My sister has relocated to Austin with our mother while her husband is on the coast until the last minute doing evacuations and Coast Guard stuff. I hope everyone is secure and safe during this storm.

Yay for business cards! I bet they look fantastic! Congrats on your portfolio being to the point where you can now "hang out your shingle." I can't wait to see what your first job is.
re: Texas- I was worrying quite a bit over friends in Houston (Have you seen the highways?) and the storm coming this way. It looks like it's veering more to the north, so we will probably get just a little rain. I'll keep your family in my thoughts.
Courtney,
I was worried about your sis and mom. I hope that Tara's Hubby stays safe and they are reunited quickly.
I love your new illustration, "Wisdom." It made me think of my "puds" and their grandmas. I had to wipe away a tear from my eye thinking of the wisdom that they hopefully have and will gain from them. You're amazing.
