I'm over the bummed, why doesn't anyone like me stage of promotion. I have now moved on to the I suck portion. Not as in I'll never draw again but more along the lines of, man I need to get in gear and work harder and push myself to create everyday. I need to sketch more and post more sketches and tighten my drawings (but not too much) and create, create, create.

I pulled some pieces off of my portfolio. That hurt, they were some of my favorite ones but with the husband's help (okay he had to push me into it) I saw the light and their huge flaws. I am trying to re-create a few and am also tightening a sketchy painting that had major flaws but I love the idea too much to let it go.

The husband renewed my SCBWI membership for me (awwww) so I'm hoping the local conferences and info will help. I also joined the local branch and a few illustrator boards.
