Just in Time for the Holidays
I'm going to put my originals up for sale in the shop. The hubby will be setting up a new section, look for it soon. All of my Illustration Friday entries as well as my portfolio pieces will be up for grabs. If you want one before the shop is up, just e-mail me.
We're flying to Texas Saturday morning. I always get really nervous the night before we fly and can feel the twinges already coming on. My fears range from accidents to evil people to how the pud who is almost two will behave. To make matters worse, we're switching in Chicago which is the seventh layer of hell.
When I was pregnant, I missed my connection from Chicago to D.C. and wandered around the airport trying to not have a nervous breakdown for a few hours. (Picture a naive country girl who has only flown a few times before wandering the airport four months pregnant. I was holding back some massive tears back but trying to look mean at the same time, so I wouldn't get mugged, cause that's what they do in Chicago, don't you know?)
Saurabh was waiting for me in D.C. and called a local hotel and booked a room for me to stay the night. After another hour of roaming the airport, I found the hotel shuttle and collapsed on the bed until 4 am the following morning. When I flew back home the day after that the same exact thing happened, only I was a bit calmer and stayed in a nicer hotel. So, I hate flying to Chicago. Luckily he'll be with us this time and we have an hour layover so it should go okay. Plus, I'm a little better about flying now as Pud and I have flown about seven times in the last year and a half.
Once I get to Texas, I get to meet my oldest, best friend who is visiting from Moscow, maybe meet a few other friends, spend time with my mom and sister (who will drive me nuts, but I love them and they sometimes return the favor) and meet Dee. I'm taking my paints, etc and will try to get an illustration friday in because I get the shakes if I don't; but if not...
See ya'll later
