Terrible, Terrific Twos

The Pud turned two today. It's hard to believe that much time has passed yet it's also hard to believe she's only been here for two years. I can't remember what my life was like before her except for the whole sleeping through the night and uninterrupted meals thing. I think this goofy, beautiful and smart little girl is a pretty good trade-off for missed sleep and food.

She loves Elmo with an unbridled passion, seconded only by her cousin-sister baby Priya. She sings songs to herself as well as finishing the refrains of Wheels on the Bus and Old MacDonald. She says 'please', 'thank you' and 'I love you' without being asked and just melts my heart with hugs and kisses. She says 'wanna hold you' and we scoop her up in our arms and cuddle her as long as she allows. She understands the word cheese even when it's spelled as well as p-a-r-k :). Her father has taught her to play hide and seek and she loves to snuggle up to him while giggling 'mama gonna get you'. She is a beautiful little girl who is goofy, smart and sweet.

These are the traits that I hope stay with her forever.
