Illustration Friday "Flavor"

Ernestine loved the flavors of the little cars. (edited to add the images below)

I wasn't too happy with the colors, so I changed it a bit and tried to punch it up...

and here it is in black and white..

oh no, my car is little! Please stay away, Ernestine. As for the illustration, awesome work! I love that Ernestine is smiling as he pops one in his mouth.

I love all the illustrations but the punched up color one is better.
the black and white reminds me of an old king kong type of movie. So it looks great just like that.
EXCELLENT work!

Great job. Is it the crunchy outside or the soft and tender insides that he likes best?

The colors in the revised version make everything come to life. So the new palette is working out eh? Oh, and congrats on Texas' win in the Rose Bowl....not that you follow that type of thing but congrats anyway. I heard about all the revelling in Austin and thought of you.

Your work has a great sense of looniness in a really great way. Did I mention to you that you should look at the work of watercolor artist Gladyss Nielson? She is a Chicago imagist and you really! would be inspired by her. Nice work.
