New and Old

This is a new image I started the other day. I think I like it.

Saurabh's grandmother passed away yesterday. She was one amazing lady and an inspiration for my wisdom piece. She saw so many things change, raised a large family, moved from India to the US and welcomed me each new spouse into her amazing multi-cultural group with open arms. She will be very, very missed.

Oh Courtney, I'm sorry for your family's loss. Grandmothers are such an important part of a family. I really like this piece. The colors are more harmonious, and the characters are very friendly. That little alien in the corner is intriguing. :D

i am sorry to hear about your loss... that is always amazing to see a generation unhibited by interracial relationships... where some traditions are kept and others are modernized and allowed more freedom and open-mindedness....

the illustration is very beautiful!! both really, but different moods... girl, one more time- your colors are just wonderfully rich!
