Planning
A page from my sketchbook, the text says
"Having a bulldog with wings is one thing, teaching him to fly is another"
We're flying back home today, thunderstorms forcast all the way. Yippee.
Starting tommorow, there is a lot of stuff going on.
1. Mid-Atlantic Illustrator Day on May 7th. I have a portfolio crtique session lined up and some great speakers are scheduled. I'm hoping to have two new pieces in my portfolio, cycling grannies is one and the robot and boy should make two. I'll try to take good notes.
2. My birthday, no big plans for this one as I'm starting to feel old.
3. We're moving. From Maryland to Northern Virginia. From an apartment to a townhome with a yard (albeit small) Getting very excited and a little nervous about all the packing. We have a lot of stuff to sort and pack.
4. Preparing a focused package mail-out to some of my favorite editors and houses, I'll post more on that as it progresses.
I better go finish packing, see you on the flip side.

Good luck with your packing and your mailings! (I just got the 2006 Children's Writers and Illustrators Market...hurrah!)
oooh, the joy of packing! I'll send thoughts of patience and endurance your way. I bet you're excited about the new house, though. Think of all the decorating you can do! (haha!) I'll keep an eye out for your updates. *hugs!*
Best wishes on your upcoming move and happy HAPPY happy birthday to you.
Excellent stuff Courtners!!! Good luck with the critique, I hope you share the feedback with us, I'm sure it'll be fantastic.
And good luck with the move, too. Packing is always a pain, but take lots of deep beaths and breaks. When do you move, soon?
PS: Please can you e-mail me your address, I have something I want to send you.
