Making It

Thanks so much to everyone who commented on my last post. I went with the grump postcard and should receive it soon.

I realized I haven't done a post lately about children's books the Pud and I have checked out or bought that we love. (Plus my oldest bud Elizabeth told me I needed to get to it) So here you go:

The Guild of Geniuses by Dan Santat. I lurve Dan's work. I visit his site frequently and am constantly amazed by his amazing talent. He also has a show on Disney! Talk about talented. (The hubby bought this book for the Pud but I love it as much as or even a bit more than she does)

Speaking of monkeys, Good Night Monkey Boy by Jarrett J. Krosoczka is a hit at the Pippin-Mathur household. Pud has the words memorized and we read it every few days. I am a big fan of Jarret's you can read about the time I met him here. We also own Punk Farm, My Buddy Slug and Giddy Up, Cow Girl.

Nikolai, the Only Bear by Barbara Joosse and illustrated by Renata Liwska. This is a lovely tale of adoption and being different. The muted, detailed illos complement the story perfectly and this has been a favorite library book. I will probably buy for some friends who recently adopted a little boy from overseas and a copy for Pud too.
