Self-Challenge

I am a posting fool lately. I think it's due to recovering from a nasty bout of food poisoning. Having your body return to normal working order will revitalize you like nothing else.

Previous to my night of appreciating the coolness of our bathroom floor, I was feeling the blahs about my work. I'm waiting for a zinger, but it is slow in coming. I also realized that a)I haven't been sketching enough and b) there are some things I need to work on. (as evidenced by my last mailing actually working. I received several editor hits, thank you so much to everyone who suggested le grump)

So, to combine my need to sketch with my need to work on kids (and animals) I have decided that I will sketch out a child and animal scene for every letter of the alphabet. I am also going to keep in in black and white. (per the lovely Amy Moreno's suggestion that I concentrate on line work for a bit, thanks Amy!)

So here is the first one:

A is for Abigail and little Avery (who was often Afraid he would be Accidentally eAten.)

I will try to do one everyday, stay tuned.

Thanks to Amy's suggestion we are having a treat to be sure. I am looking forward to the next letter.

Question? Is the alphabet in that order because of the song? or vice versa? Just something to ponder.

she's A - dorable!
HOpe you do better than me with this. Every time I start a series using the alphabet I get bored with it by the letter G...always G.

Good luck...you're off to a great start!

Line work is something I'm focusing on, too! (back to basics!) I love your idea and your sketches so far. (Your animals look fantastic, by the way.) I may have to borrow your idea and apply it to myself...Hopefully I can be as big a posting fool as you!
