Spring Postcard

It is time to send out my Spring mailout. I am a bit unsure of what to send. Because I am on a limited budget I want every mailout to count and I think my last two pieces were too similiar and or misdirected. They were Heartbreaker and Bakery. So, fellow illustrators, loyal readers(that just sounds cool, don't know if it is nessasarily true) and people who just happen by here, what do you think?

I was pretty set on this piece. It is bright, reminds me of easter and spring and it has animals, but no kids.

But then I thought that maybe I should show this piece that just focuses on a child, or this one.

And then I was pleased enough with the image below that I am going to re-do it incorporating a grandma, night-time and fireflies. Maybe that should be the piece that goes.

I need an attention grabbing, put me on your board not in the garbage image.

What do you think?

I really love the old lady in the hen house. My only concern with that one, though, are your two piggies behind her. They are too small for the perspective you have them.

Otherwise,I really love the expression on the little girl with the green background. Maybe you could put some text there since it's going to be a postcard. Maybe something humorous playing on the fact that you are sending a promo to them?

Good luck and knock em dead!

I love the one with the little girl and the green background, "one of those days" I think. I love the "Sad" one too with the little girl on the step but I think it looks quite different from a lot of your other work and the grumpy little girl with the frazzled hair makes my heart lift every time I see it.

Good luck with the postcards, hope they bring back lots of positive responses.

I love the angry little girl with the bunny too. She has SO MUCH personality!! That will be pinned to some boards for sure. She may need to be a bit larger though (could you crop it in such a way that she is taking up a solid 1/3rd of the card? And pull her in just from the edge so nothing gets cut off during production). My reasoning is, while I love the grandma, you're trying to get work in the children's market, and I think "bunny girl" will get you some attention.
Good luck! I love watching you create!

I like the green, grumpy girl too.
I'd love to see what you do with the fireflys...maybe show kids instead of a grandma with them. That might be cool for a postcard too...

What a hard decision! The first piece is great, variety with characters and colors. I think I would vote for the second piece because the first thought in my head was," Awwww... poor baby!" Hope that helps!
