More Practice
When I don't paint for a while, it takes a few attempts before I get a piece just right. This is the case with this new frog I'm working on. I want to have the freshness of the animal pieces I did a few weeks ago but also incorporate my love of color. It's not going as well as I hoped but I will keep trying. I think I need to work quickly and stop before I think I am ready.
I bought a book about Chinese Brush painting. Eons ago, my favorite teacher told me my strength was in my brush lines. So, I'm going to try more brush, less pen or pencil.

If you can get the fresh and unique look of the frogs in your previous post by using brush rather than ink-I'm all for it! They have such a refreshing energy. :) Good luck with your experimentation!
I love the color!
