Trip
We're Back. We went on a cruise that was a surprise from my sister. It was planned a while back and the hubby ended up not being able to go. That with recent events added on made me unsure if I should still go. But i did, with the pumpkin, my sister, mom and two of my sister's friends. It was a relaxing adventure beside a bout of severe stomach virus/food poisoning for my mom. We visited Jamaica, the grad caymans and Cozumel. (grand caymans pictured above) Grand Caymans was my favorite for the gorgeous water. Seriously, it was the most beautiful blue I have ever seen in my life. There was also a 600 ft waterfall in Jamaica that was also an amazing sight. I had a great time and will probably cruise again in the future.
As for art stuff, I drew nothing. squat. But-I did have an idea for a book. It involves a frog and let's see if I can make something out of it.
As for children's lit. I read an amazing book. Have you ever had a book pull you in so much you went to get the sequel a.s.a.p? This book did it for me and it is young adult. I have just started reading YA. I thought it would be good research plus I read much about the genre in my blog travels. So during a 2 hour plus delay at the airport I picked it up. It's Twilight by Stephanie Myers. I was glued from the beginning. I personally like the horror genre but am usually put off by romances in them. Not this time. I loved the book and it's sequel. I only kept myself from buying the third book by reading a spoiler online. I think that only delayed my desire to re-enter this world that Stephanie has created however. An absolutely great YA book. I will be looking for the 4th book in the series and I pray that it ties up the loose ends. I am the sort of person who needs a satisfying conclusion. Happy ones are a plus.

Sounds like a relaxing and beautiful trip. I'm going to have to get that series, sounds great!
What a wonderful present from your sister. (We went on that exact same cruise a few years ago! 7 mile beach at GC was also my fave. I just sat in the water and stared! ;P) Glad to see you got to do some major relaxing/recharging.
Myers' books were so absurdly popular with my students, I never got a chance to check them out from the library when I was teaching. Glad to hear a "grown-up" liked them as much. Maybe I'll see if our neighborhood branch carries them. :)
Glad you're back-missed ya!
